On Friday, Vikings re-signed DT Fred Evans. I have not obtained the finances of this re-signing as of yet. The Vikings seemed focused on finding a good DT within it's ranks, between Remi Ayodele, Letroy Guion and Fred Evans along with Kevin Williams. However with Kevin Williams entering his 9th season, it would still bode well for the Vikings to draft a DT in the middle rounds. As I've mentioned previously, I'll be mocking a DT at the end of the 3rd or 4th once compensatory picks are announced.
But what about the LB positions? Erin Henderson has been expressing frustration that he is not yet signed, and I've seen the fans getting frustrated as well. It is clear the Erin has a strong following of Vikings Fans that all want to see him resigned. But the Vikings are taking their time. It's also unsure if they Vikings will resign his brother, E.J. Personally, I'd like to see Erin resigned but get more youthful in the ILB position, even dipping in the ILB free agency pool and picking up one of the remaining ILBs still available (Tulloch, Hawthorne or Lofton). But the Vikings are taking their time, despite the frustration of their fans and the slowing down of the stadium bill in the legislature. But as Spielman continues to take his time and being deliberate, I'm with the majority in telling him to get Erin Henderson a contract!
